New-
Red Tails- I really enjoyed this film. I have been hearing a few negatives though, guess those individuals don’t understand the difference between a “story inspired by real events” and “based on a true story”. I did a little digging on the film it took Lucas over 20 years to get this made. The man definitely knows how to film good dogfights.
Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol- Tom is getting on in years, but it was good. I give them all props for even getting into the high stories of the building in Dubai let alone Tom doing stunts on it.
Older-
Let the Right One In is the original foreign/Swedish version of the American version Let Me In; supposedly, the films are tame compared to the book, guess I will have to check out the American one and maybe the book.
Changeling- based on a true story of the “Chicken Coop Murders” from the late 20’s from the viewpoint of one of the “alleged” victims grieving mother. I had never heard of this incident and looked up the details. Am surprised there has not been (according to what I have read anyway) more films on this incident, seems to have been a very brutal crime against children.
Secretariat-Brought back memories of that summer when he won the Triple crown of racing.
