I totally forgot Tim Robbins played 'Merlin' in the original.

I wasn't expecting rep in return. Just replying to KoZ. I thought he knew of the AVGN thread, guess not.
What was the other thing that you tried to give me rep for? I hope it was Giants related.
It was Giants related, actually.
That sounds like something the Nerd would say if he was the Angry Baseball Fan Nerd
On a side note, now that I saw this post while searching through your posts to remember which one I was trying to rep I want to rep it as well.

Ah, yes, Brian Wilson. I'm still hoping he gets his own Mitch Williams/Brad Lidge/Jonathan Broxton treatment soon.
Star Wars
Here's my pitch for "Days of Thunder 2: The Chase for Something"
Cole Trickle having won the Daytona 500, went on to win 5 championships and many different races. Now in the twilight of his career, a major setback happens. He looses his wife Nicole Kidman, and his dropped by Rowdys team. Rowdy had hired a racer named Jimmie Johnstone, a younger driver that says nothing wrong, and gets the job done.
Struggling to find his way amongst the young hot shoe's, Cole finds a ride with his former owner Randy Quaid. Quaid has brought Cole along for his last season, a farwell to his fans. He also wants Cole to help mentor young racer Justin Murphy. Like Cole, Murphy is a stand out in open wheel USAC racing. Cole sees a lot of his former self in Murphy, and decides that it's in his best interest to help the younger driver along after some convincing from his crew cheif Buck Bretherton.
In doing so, he falls in love with Murphy's mother, the divorced Becky (played by Jennifer Anniston) and begins a drive of his lifetime over the final season, coming down to the final race, and the final laps. Cole leads the points, followed by Johnstone and Murphy, all 3 with a shoot at the championship. In a difficult situation, Cole makes a drastic move, wrecking himself and Johnstone, allowing Murphy to win the race and the championship. In victory lane, Cole rushs in to congratulate Murphy, and his love Becky.
That would be good if it weren't for all the racing bullshit
Really?
What if Tony Scott directed it? And made it very similar to the original made in 1990?
I don't like racing. I was just busting your balls. If Cole dies in the end, I'm for it.
