    LOL Tis the season!

    My favorite beer is back.

    Sierra Nevada Summerfest

Our Summerfest® is a refreshing, pilsner-style lager. Its incredible smoothness comes from an extra-long lagering period. Lighter in body than our ales but just as complex in character, Summerfest® quenches your thirst with big aroma and a tangy hop bite.
The best part, it's now available in a 12-pack, which saves me a few bucks. I bought my first case last night. What's your favorite summer beer? O'Douls? PBR?

I like the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale as well...very much. I'm not a huge Sam Adams fan and I was pissed to see they now have a Pale Ale...at least that's the first time I've ever seen it. The colors are very similar to the Sierra Nevada one. Very suspicious.

Blargh, Sierra Nevada. How can you drink that garbage?

I'll take a good Belgian ale, any time of the year.

Blasphemy! You and your anti-American comments should go back to the USSR.

Brewery Ommegang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Best brewery in the country. Also, in Cooperstown, NY, which is a pretty American city.

Just responding in the same manner as you do. Good for you. You like Belgian ales and don't like beers that I like. That doesn't mean they suck. I don't care for Belgian ales, but I don't think they suck. It's just not my style.

Well, next time you're at the store, try some Abbey Ale. I guarantee you'll like it.

I'll see if they have it in the single bottles section. It sucks buying a 6-pack of something and hating it...i.e. I hated the Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale. Barley Wine is not for me. The Pale Ale and the Summer one are the only ones I like. I also want to try the one in my avatar there.

Yeah, it usually comes in single bottles. The 4 pack is hard to find.

As far as summer beers, some of my favorites are Supplication (hard to find), the Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier (sp? also, common), almost any hefeweizen, and amber lagers. For the winter, nothing helps the cold Chicago days go by faster than a good Russian Imperial Stout. If you've never had a good one, and you like full, flavorful beers, you owe it to yourself to have one.

You can't really go wrong with an Imperial. I bet it's good shit, Foster.

I tasted a microbrew amber ale from Sedona, Arizona. I'm not the beer conissoeur, but I LOVED it. It's called Oak Creek Amber Ale. It was amazing. I tried but can't find it anywhere, and they won't ship online. I told my dad, all I want for my 21st bday from him in 3 weeks is for him to somehow get a hold of some of this beer. He said he's on it. I'm so excited. If anyone has access to it, you should try it.

If you like Amber ales, try the Ommegang. Hell, you're in 'Cuse, you're like 1.5 hours away from Cooperstown, where they brew it. Go there, and buy their Abbey Ale, and everything else they brew. You will not be disappointed.
