Does it make it wrong? No, but you are missing the point at hand! Taking Saddam out in '90 would have been extremely bad for the Middle East and us here at home. Us having bases on Islamic holy land pisses people off! 9/11x10 and if you haven't read the paper lately, America is doing so hot since 9/11. It would have been a very bad idea and Bush, Cheney and Powell knew better. Why they didn't in 2002, I don;t know.

Everyone cries that we only invaded Iraq to get the oil, yet we haven't gotten it.

Are you a closet case rapist or something?? We picked Saddam because of his location which happened to be on oil fields. Now we don't even get the oil to pay for anything. That's the whole reason America went alone on this venture was the get all the benefits. Instead we are stuck with the bill and our country is suffering. This was a war of choice and it was a bad one. It wasn't this great humanitarian effort you make it out to be. There were plenty of other countries we could have helped out and for a lot cheaper and quicker. Hey, here's a crazy thought!! Maybe we could have captured and killed the people who actually attacked us. That would be for a great humanitarian effort and actually got the people responsible for 9/11. You know, the real war on terrorists. Here's another crazy thought if we were going the humanitarian route, why not get a global effort to get rid of Saddam?? If he was such the bad man, it would have been easy to convince other countries to get him out in a somewhat peaceful manner or at least a lot better than what we came up with. Saddam was a bad man but this war was a terrible idea and now we are paying for it. Actually the Chinese are which we will have to pay back if we ever get out of the debt this has caused and.......yeah, this was not in America's best interest which should be the bottom line in every foreign decision we make. Saddam was a bad man but America's best interests weren't served.
