Newman was one of the coolest dudes on the planet and hope I can be as cool as him in my later years. He was a great actor and I love his movies.
I agree. Newman is like textbook definition of a guy that all the other guys want to be like and all the girls want to be with. The Sting, Butch Casssady and The Sundance Kid, Slapshot (of course), The Hustler and The Color of Money, plus one of the greatest guy movies of all time with Cool Hand Luke. Newman was in so many great films (way beyond the ones I just listed) and most of them hold up really well. Plus, he is someone who did a lot of good in this world. I know there were rumors in the past few years about another team-up with him and Redford, it's a shame that couldn't happen.
RIP Paul.

One dosn't realize the passion he had for racing as well. Lime Rock Park in his home state was the venue of his last win in his SCCA GT1 vette, and that was last year. Long time supporter of the open wheel scene, and all around race fan.
RIP.
Fitting he ended his acting career playing the voice of "Doc Hudson" in the movie Cars, seeing that he was such a huge racing fanatic. And don't forget all of the charity work that his company "Newman's Own" does. He was one heckuva guy.
RIP Paul. You will be greatly missed.
