So, clearly, this is what I think about at work:
Personally, being a young'n, I enjoy playing my video games. Especially sports related games. So, naturally, right now, I'm into MLB 2k8. Now, I like playing with the Mets, but in order to make the game more entertaining for me, I came up with the following idea:
If anyone is interested, I would create myself and a certain amount(15-20 depending on interest level) of you guys, put us on a major league team, and see how it goes. Sounds boring, right? Wrong. I would play every game, and follow every game up with a game report. This report would vary. Some would be newspaper articles, some would be emails between fans, and some others would be fictional postgame happenings in the clubhouse.
I would frequently post statistics for every player, and if a person who is participating wants to see their stats in between updates, I could easily PM that to them. I can either make every player the youngest possible(age 16) and start in A ball, or make each player as the posters actual age(unless in the circumstance of a poster who is just flat out too old) and start in MLB. Players would not be maxed out, but they would be skilled, and would have high potential. I would obviously not expect great results in year one, but it could be fun down the road.
I would also include interactive parts. Players(posters-you guys) would be interviewed for some of the articles, and if you refuse, we could deal with that, much the way an arrogant player would....so you would have complete control over your players' attitude and decisions. You could complain about your playing time or w/e, demand a trade(i will probably be unwilling to trade you though), and down the road, I may even find a way for you to negotiate your own players' contracts.
So, basically, I would take MLB 2K8, and give you all a "First Person mode". Obviously, I would be the only one playing these games, but this could be something fun and interactive for a bunch of people on the forum.
Please let me know if you are interested, and if a large enough group of people are, I will post a sign up thread. Thanks!
