I hate Wachovia
So today I go in to cash my first paycheck of the summer. Obviously, as a student, I have literally $2.46 in my account. Anyway, I get up with my deposit ticket all filled out and she gets to the "cash back" part and then tells me that since I only have $2.46 in my account, I'm not allowed the money I wanted, and I can't touch my money until Tuesday. Here's the email I sent them:
To whom it may concern: Wachovia loves to tell everyone about how they finish #1 in customer satisfaction and how good they are for students. However, their policy about not allowing cash back on a paycheck deposit defeats both of these purposes, regardless of whether or not there is less than three dollars in the account. In fact, with only three dollars in the account, it should be that much more important that the money be allowed out immediately. One would think that a bank with a constantly depreciating reputation would do everything for its customers.
Maybe I won't be upset when I can finally touch my money on TUESDAY. Thanks for successfully ruining what was supposed to be the night I went out for my birthday, Wachovia.

Pretty much every bank has that policy.
