I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Dry, I know you are probably kidding. But, a man can NOT give up the women in his life over sports. You can heckle each other about your significant's team, but at the end of the day, she (he if a female member is reading this post) is there for you.
Couldn't agree more brewersfan.

seconded. absolutely. to be honest, i kind of like it. it's a different perspective on things, and it gives the couple something of common interest to talk about: baseball. i'd MUCH MUCH MUCH rather have a fan of a rival team as a gf than a girl who didn't like sports at all.
and I totally agree with you to giantsfan5689. If my wife didnt listen, watch, enjoy, sports even though she has the White Sox as her favorite team, then I would be a little bored. She is a great lady!!!!!
Sometimes its hard to find girls who like/follow sports, especially Indian females.
You could always teach them about sports. then you could always have something to talk about at the dinner table.
I dont think he means native-american, but as in Indian (someone from India).
when a man finds the right woman, his life totally changes for the better. That is just me though. My wife is my best friend! White Sox fan or not. Hell it could be worse, she could be a Cub fan. j/k, Cubs' fans....
Life is about sacrifices. I'll be honest, girls that are die hard Red Sox fans annoy me anyway; it won't work out.
Mets fans I've had some ups and downs with down here...but I'll tell you a story; I was having this discussion with two girls, and one said she was a Yankee fan but didn't care enough, and was fine with having a Red Sox boyfriend. The girl I was trying to get with was like "No, you can never gie up your team." I was of course very happy, and was like "Yeah, don't let the Red Sox end up becoming your team" and the girl I was trying to get with was like "Yeah, like I could never see myself getting with a Yankees fan" and immediately, knowing the door was shut, I asked he what team she was a fan of...lo and behold the ****ing Mets. I started saying that a Mets fan can't hate the Yankees anyway, because since we're the only baseball team that wins in NY, it makes it that much sweeter when they actually make the playoffs. She was not happy.
You know the story about how you procrastinate and reel off this amazing paper? And then you think that's how you should always work? Except that one paper was a fluke? The moral of the story is, if you don't put yourself in that situation, you don't get screwed in the end. And I mean that in both meanings of screwed.
I'm not sure I agree. You don't have to like everything the same. Then things are boring.
If she likes watching chick flicks, and I like watching baseball, it means we can each treat the other one night by showing interest in what the other one cares about. Otherwise, things gets static.
I love the Yankees. I don't want to compromise that, and people who are fans of the Mets or Red Sox should hate the Yankees.
Then again, if they don't it means that they're more likely to accept my love for baseball. So I guess there a plusses to both. Ideally though, she wouldn't be a Red Sox or Mets fan.
Ouch. I can see that...
Maybe cricket?
I've tried...it rarely works...maybe it's because I get frustrated when people think that they are true fans with really superficial knowledge.
I really, really, LOVE baseball.
I don't think you understand. It's been my concern since I was 3. I had the whole lineup, stats, trivia, and other assorted knowledge memorized. My primary dedication, honestly, is to baseball. The only reason I don't want to do it as a job (anything involving it) is because I'm worried I won't love it as much.
