    I think Costas is one of the smartest people in the land. His brain is like a sponge and can speak intelligently on any subject. I don't always agree with him but I have all the respect in the world for him.

    I did not know Turn 2 was a woman and related to hot_corner_grl until tonight. Wow!

    Damn Hollywood! Peavy's like one of my favorite ballplayers right now! I have a baseball card autographed by him that a friend of mine got in person and gave to me, and I went to a Padres game at Petco, but he was pitching that day so he wouldn't sign. I got Hoffman and Chris Young on a baseball, but couldn't get Peavy. You are so lucky you got to meet him, I am ridiculously jealous. I would give a LOT to meet him. I admit: I have a man-crush on Jake Peavy.

    HOLLYWOOD! Now you're just rubbing it in my face........at least I got to see Chris at an autograph signing and he signed a ball for me sweet spot. His auto is BEAUTIFUL. And I got to tell him that he was the only pitcher on my fantasy team still there that I had drafted he laughed. It was true though.

    This was taken in 2005 sometime during the summer. I just got done escorting Iraqi's around base doing the crap work the Army and everyone else don't want to do. It wasn't that bad but I had a cold that week. It was a descent experience. I was working with mostly Army personnel and had to do what they do.

    Jake's cousin posts at a Padres message forum that I post at. A few of us from those forums went to two Padres/Braves games in Atlanta with him and he got us in the team locker room area to meet Jake. (not the locker room itself, but the loading area where the team bus pulls up, which was near the visiting team locker room area.)

    I had the pictures with CY and Adrian taken while they happened to be coming through the team area. (Jake and CY the first day, Adrian the 2nd day.)

    I met Brian and Marcus Giles that day as well and saw a few of the other players passing through, but didn't get any pictures with them.
