About 5 or so years ago, I decided to collect Hall-of-Famer's autographs and now I have 53 of them. I also have quite a few musicians' autographs, including a rock & roll HOFer.

I would if I could get them.
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
I have a few of em.
This one's my favorite.

Tom Pagnozzi
Brian Jordan
Dave Magadan
Rick White
Terry Shumpert
Mike Benjamin
Allen Watson
These are the only autographs I have.
I would love to collect Autographs, but its my misfortune that I dont live in a sports town. I have only two autographs. Ken Shamrock(I met him aswell) and George Foreman when he came to my mother's work 12-15 years ago when I was little.
Other than Peavy I also have
Nate Kaeding
Adrian Gonzalez
Oliver Perez
Trenidad Hubbard
and Mike Hampton
My collection isn't that big.

I do not have space for bats or jerseys. Mine are all balls, cards and 8X10s, other than Ozzie Smith. I got his autograph on his Wheaties box. I'm thinking about getting Tony Gwynn's on his Wheaties box as well.
Some notable names I have in my collection are Ty Cobb (yes its real), Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Mize, Enos Slaughter, Warren Spahn, Bob Feller, Buck O'Neil, and Ted "double duty" Radcliffe (not a HOFer, but still a nice piece).
My goal is to pick up at least 100 Hall-of-Famers and until I got Cobb, I thought some would be unattainable. Now I'm not sure that any are, if I look hard enough and am willing to pay for them.
I also have hundreds of minor-leaguers and major-league players. I find sports festivals and museums to be very good places to get these autographs. Some are a bit pricey, but they are well worth the effort.

My thing is, though, I only care about autographs that I actually get in person.
It doesn't really mean much to me otherwise.
All my autographs are on hats other than Jake's.

I have gotten the majority of my autographs in person, or at a very reputible place (the Bob Feller Museum). All the autographs I have obtained were either witnessed by me or are authenticated to be originals. I prefer meeting the guys to buying the autographs, but for those who are deceased, it's tough to meet them. I've met Ted Williams, Bob Feller and Yogi Berra. They are (or were in Ted's case) very cordial and easy to talk to.
By the way, Peavy is a very nice autograph.

The ones I have got in person include:
Pele (the coolest one IMO)
Most of the kings from late 90's i think...webber, divac, williams, etc.
Girardi
Orlando Hernandez
Turk Wendell
Tony Clark
There are a couple more but I can't recall them
I have Mantle and Jeter that I didn't get in person.
Also Cheryl Swoops and Cynthia Cooper in person.
I was next in line to get Tony Gwynn's auotgraph but he said he had to get ready and ducked into the dugout. That's when I started to curse his name. I was around 13 or 14 at the time and extremely pissed off!! I also called Dusty Baker a cocksucker right to his face.
when I was 10 or so I went to an Angels/Rangers game.
After the game we were standing in line at Ivan Rodriguez's car. When I finally got to 2nd in line Ivan's wife (or girlfriend, not sure, we assumed his wife at the time) got out of the car, said "Autograph session over!" and closed the door.

I've got signed baseballs by Vladimir Guerrero and Ugueth Urbina. That's it.

Quite a bit of team Nebraska football autographs.
Got an Alex Gordon autograph. Wish I have hands on a Joba autograph.
