Played on the post team in the Army... but the last time I actually played was over 10 years ago now... wow.... I AM getting old
I generally played SS or 3B because I had good range and a good arm.... usually hit 2nd in the lineup because I had good contact, good speed, but not a lot of power (able to smack line drive opposite field hits)....

i played last year, first base. i'm more of a adam dunn type. walks a lot, strikes out a lot, but instead of hr's i hit doubles.
Im relegated to Softball. I play SS, I hit with power to all field and im pretty patient (even for softball).

Haven't played baseball since Highschool (back in the 80's). Played softball for a few years after that, but havent' done that either since I got married 12 or so yrs ago.
I havent played organized baseball in 20+ years, played lots of softball. IN my younger days I was primarily a SS. BUt as I got into it more I was more of an outfielder or 2B. I pretty played every position, even 1B for one season. I had shoulder problems in my throwing arm, I could swing, just couldnt throw overhand. Inflamation in my shoulder. I am pretty done playing.
I used to be a fairly decent sidearmer. Then I blew out my shoulder.
Now I play tennis.

I played in High School.
I wasn't all that great, so I didn't get much playing time, but when I was in I was generally right field.
