It's nice they didn't tier the characters by age (it worked in Arrested Development with George Michael and G.O.B. being in different authority spheres) and they treat Devito like anyone else, resisting an easy temptation. The strip club episode was awesome, partially because of Devito, I don't think it would have worked as well if two equal aged characters worked it that way.

Wow, that expressed my thoughts pretty well (much better then I would of thought to have worded it.) I also appreciate how they teamed him up with Charlie in that episode, because that was the best character relationship to explore to introduce the Devito character.

IASIP is almost becoming a really good blend of Curb and AD. Not quite as good as either. But you can tell they're drawing on both quite a bit (AD now more so than in the first season.)

I noticed a bit of AD in the scene where Devito's wife and Dee had the conversation in the bar. With the mother being completely unobservant towards anything but her daughter's faults and what she is wearing. Eerily like Lindsay and Lucille.

I haven't got to the second episode of IASIP (saving it for a rainy day this week I guess), but the welfare episode was classic as I hoped it was going to be. I am growing to love that show more and more each week, and Devito continues to be a really good addition to the show with character relations.

Oh, and do you guys know Tak? The latest skip-rope rhyme is that he's one cool dude. Just sayin'.

Hey Fish, I loved the scene in the welfare episode where Mac and Charlie pull up in the limo they're riding in with Frank's money to stop to say high at a burned out Dennis and Dee. They then ask them for money, so Mac and Charlie roll up the window and have that uncomfortable silence only to return to the seemingly random uproarious laughter, tophat and all.

It was a pretty brillant scene, not only because of the complete absurdity of it, but also because it was the parallel of the scene in the bar to begin the episode where Dee/Dennis completely ignored Mac/Charlie.
