Warnings Issued After N.H. Teen Dies During 'Choking Game'

WHITEFIELD, N.H. -- When school resumes Monday in Whitefield, N.H., students will get warnings about a dangerous game that claimed the life of one of their classmates last week.
Rodney Webster, the eighth-grade class president at Whitefield Elementary School, died while playing what's called "The Choking Game." It's a dangerous activity in which people choke themselves, sometimes with a rope or belt, to deprive the brain of oxygen so they can reach a brief rush when blood flow is returned.
Whitefield Police Chief Bill Colburn and school officials have created pamphlets outlining the danger of the game, which will be distributed when students return from winter break.
Webster's mother, Lori, said she hopes making people aware will help to prevent other deaths.

Really, this is actually quite sad. It's spreading amongst younger kids, and killing them constantly. Hopefully kids smarten up and stop doing it.
Remember, NH is always about 5-50 years behind the trends of those hip inner city kids.
