Mission, I think there's a typo on that error page.

"Things could always much much worse"

---Seems like there should be a word (get/be/something) before the first "much"....

Today in the mail I received literature (one novel by John Steinbeck) and a set of fake mustaches.

That my friends, is what your humble administrator orders when he gets paid.

    For the fake mustaches?

I'm glad I don't have textbooks purchase anymore though (that is until I go for my MBA.)

Re: Strike Three's Random Insanity Thread

Here is how I spent my first day off:

Launched the new site with many hours of work still ahead of me
I am about done with my book (Fletch)
I had some leftover pizza from Donatos
I took a two hour nap
    Found anew avatar to use
And I might go to a movie tonight

    Good day so far.

Re: Strike Three's Random Insanity Thread

    my day:

-woke up at 7AM to get ready for an interview
-asshole neighbors got their lawn mowed by "pros" at 7:40 AM!! I'm glad I was already awake
-interview/observation this morning at 8:15 (followup from a phone interview yesterday)
-grocery shopping at 9:30 or so (having to wait at the deli while blue hairs order a dozen items is excruciating)...saved $30 with sale items and coupons
    -ate breakfast
    -started laundry
-bought a GI Joe RoC 2-pack at Walmart
-bought 6-pack of paper towels on sale at CVS with a coupon, too.
    -farted around online
    -ate lunch
    -bought a few MP3s off Amazon MP3
-ordered tickets to see Health in Boston on the 22nd
    -finished laundry
    -farted around online

I'm going to clean the bathroom, vacuum, and job search today as well. The rest will be me crashing. I'll probably have a sandwich, a salad, and a beer for dinner.

What kind of job Prov? I know you have or were a PE teacher. Same deal still? If you'd rather not answer, that's fine, I was just curious if you were still teaching or going in a new direction.

HEALTH should be fun to see.

Re: Strike Three's Random Insanity Thread

it's a part-time PE position at a new charter school (K only, adding 1st and maybe 2nd next year). we'll see. I've been collecting for a while now (thanks Obama EUC08) and I'm covered until the end of October supposedly. I worked at the last place for 2 years and because of 1 person I was not back for a 3rd (year-to-year contracts, not a regular public school, and they can do whatever they want...I've got recommendations from there so I must have done something right). It's been tough because I have a masters and they have to pay you more so it's cheaper to hire someone with only a bachelors and less experience.

whether I get this part-time position or not, I may sub. I may go back to school and start taking some pre-reqs to get into the PT program (a grad program only, which they changed to a Doctorate 2 years ago actually to make it a 3 year program). The problem is that it will take over a year, most likely, to take the 5 courses I'm missing (Pre-Cal, a high level statistics 400 or psych 300 research stats), a 2nd level physics, a chem, and then organic chem 1) along with 30 hours of working/volunteering with a PT. I need all that just to apply. It's 3 years after that including summer classes.

I actually have more money right now than when I left, but it's just been a tough year. Non-teaching positions won't even respond because they're afraid you'll leave once a teaching position comes along and teaching ones don't want to pay me. They always say "education will never hurt you", but in the right (wrong) circumstances it can. I'll figure something out eventually. Luckily, I'm in a good situation right now and I haven't had to change things too drastically (I've cut back on stuff, but have been able to do things I've really wanted to).

It has given me the opportunity to help out my grandmother a lot (my grandfather passed away in Feb 2007 as I mentioned back then) so that's a positive at least. We'll see what happens I suppose. It's just really frustrating is all because I want to move on with my life at this point.

oh, and it will be my 2nd time seeing Health. We saw them April 2008. Tickets were only $12 each. You can't beat that. I've got tickets to see A Place to Bury Strangers in October, too. $12 there as well.

Uh... I didn't expect someone to think that Biggie would be ideal to mashup with Miley Cyrus.

Oh my god. Nelson's out of body experience "Haw-haw" is one of the funniest things ever thought to be put in a television show. Every time I see it I am just taken aback by the genius of it. I wish I had a vid to post but FOX are nazis with Simpsons' clips on YouTube.
