Actually, it is. FOr the simple reason that if you get caught sitting on your front step drinking a beer, you don't get cited. If you get caught sitting on your front step puffing on the 5-headed hooka pipe, the cops don't just tip their cap and walk away.


Regardless of personal feelings of what is more dangerous than the other. One is completely ****ing illegal. The other isn't. So, yes, doing illegal drugs (see the key word there?), is worse than drinking alcohol.

but i've been 3 year sober from drugs, 2 weeks from alcohol.

I do smoke regularly more than I drink, though. For my money, smoking is more chill, but when I drink I get angry. They are both fun.

I don't know if either is worse than another. They can both be pretty harmful at times, I suppose. But since when has that got in the way of anything?!

The bottomline is this thread is pointless. I'm sure there are 12, 13, and 14 year olds out there who are or will read threads like this in the future.

It doesn't matter if weed is safe or not, I just don't think any drugs should be promoted here, especially by mods.

I'm 20, and it makes me sad when I hear young teens doing drugs.

You're putting words in my mouth and I'm not giving you a lecture. When did I ever tell you or anybody else on this forum to quit smoking? If you smoke, that's cool. If you don't smoke, that's also cool.

i just don't see the point of doing weed. i understand in some that alcohol brings out more anger, but in everyone i've ever partied with, we've always been chill drunk.

i just don't see the point in something where you can get more time in prison for possesion w/intent than someone who has KILLED a man. (as ****ed up as our politics/judicial system is, that IS the truth).

for me it boils down to this:

weed is illegal. if you get caught, you're pretty much ****ED. god forbid you get caught buying/dealing.

alcohol is something, in time, anyone can buy. posession of alcohol, even as a minor, (as long as you aren't stupid enough to go DRIVING drunk, which i hope everyone here is smart enough NOT to do) isn't as frowned upon as possesion of chronic, with or without intent to sell.

i just think its worthless to take such a risk just to get HIGH.

although BOTH are stupid, dangerous, and in somewhat illegal (seeing as about ~65-75% of this forum are under 21), i'd much rather take my chances drunk.

I agree with what you are saying here.

I smoke and drink. That's okay, but you have to draw the line somewhere. I don't kill people.
