It would probably be more about not caring as much as our elders.
But that does not imply to everyone. McKain and Fisher certainly care and would likely have much an opinion to offer.

I think a forum like the UCF would be great, something to keep the nonsense out and allow people to speak their minds and potentially have intelligent debates. It is a lot to ask for, but can be done.

It's been talked about a couple of times and frankly, I don't think it'll happen. Personally, I am totally against it. I didn't want it over there either, but at least it's basically contained so it's not quite so bad for the board.

i'm not really for it either, being that opinions rarely change and people become shrill very quickly.

I don't think it's needed over here.

It was on the other side because the threads kept popping up in the NSF, so it was a good way to keep it contained. (granted half of the threads, if not the majority of them were probably started by libzkill...)

Anyways, we don't seem to have that issue here, so there's really no need to make a political forum here, because then all you're doing is inviting political flame wars that don't exist right now.
