This week we have dancing, we have Payback meets Sin City, we have huge african american women, and finally.. Adam Sandler's sloppy seconds.
Next week will either be a week off, or just be a different game. Likely the former. I'll see.
2 pointers are over for now, back to one pointers. Use the poll, it is your friend.
The Benchwarmers
Starring: Jon Heder, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, and Craig Killborn
Theatre count: 3,100
Things to know: That cast almost reads like an SNL lineup. Sadly, it's mostly the unfunny ones. David Spade and Rob Schneider led movies, without Chris Farley and Adam Sandler, read like a who's who of films you should never have to see in your lifetim. Heder is working on some success though, Napoleon Dynamite and Just Like Heaven went over well mostly. Craiggers kinda sucked at the late night host gig. He had a decent part in Old School. He's a non-factor here.
Lucky Number Slevin
Starring: Josh Harnett, Lucy Lui, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Stanley Tucci, and Sir Ben Kingsley
Theatre count: 1,700
Things to know: Morgan Freeman, other than playing God in Bruce Almighty, really is a movie God. Let's see in 2005, he played in Batman Begins (cha-ching), narrated March of the Penguins, narrated War of the Worlds, and teamed up with Jet-Li for a nice little romp in Unleashed. That's eclectism. And he's a great actor. As for the rest... really no weaklink in terms of skills, but they've all had flops in recent memory. They've also had blockbusters in recent memory. You decide. I got dibs on Lucy, though.
Phat Girlz
Starring: ...hey Eric Roberts plays in it!
Theatre count: over 1,100
Things to know: You're ****ing with me. How in the Hell does this get that number of theatres, and.. you know what, this is not Jarrod of Subway's life story, so move on. DirtyKash will be the only one who goes to see this.
Take the Lead
Starring: Antonio Banderas, and various fairly young actors
Theatre count: over 2,800
Things to know: Well, that shit Jerry Rice won, Dancing with the Stars, is mega popular. Mad Hot Ballroom was a popular documentary. So I guess the idea is that hip hop is in and ballroom dancing is in (aye Matt Leinert), so why not, let's make a movie on it. Women will want to see this, cause Banderas ....is doing Banderas things. I like him better as the bee in those allergy commercials. And as the Desperado dude.
