Ian Kinsler, Texas Rangers agree to 5-year extension - ESPN Dallas
Kinsler will be 35 at the end of this deal but he's worth it. He's an good defensive 2B who is a 30/30 threat every year. Those are hard to find at 2B. His average will never be great but he walks enough and doesn't strikeout much. I like Kinsler and he should keep help propel the Rangers into the post season. He has a post season line of .303/.413/.479.Second baseman Ian Kinsler said he and the Texas Rangers have agreed to a new $75 million, five-year contract.
The deal is pending a physical and would start next season, replacing a $10 million option the team had for 2013.
The deal reportedly has an option for a sixth season, meaning it could run through the 2018 season.
