Not exactly living up to the hype for his MLB debut. He walked the first batter and it went downhill from there. He's given up 5 ER in just 3 IP throwing 74 pitches. Ichiro is 2-2 showing that he is still the best from Japan

Yikes
After all that, Darvish still got the win thanks to his powerful offense.
Easy to jump Darvish on his first game isn't it? One thing you didnt mention was his pitch count dropped drastically in every inning after the first 1st inning of that first game. Since then he blanked the Yankees with 10 strikeouts and has yet to lose a game. I would say he looks as good as advertised which is a definite shock since most Japanese pitchers dont do well here.
its april, i dont believe we should jump to conclusions in either direction. that said... in the only game i watched fully [vs the yankees], he looked completely legit. not sure what his advertised fastball was, but he was about 92-93 all night, and his off speed stuff was nasty as hell. as old as arod is/getting, he made him look totally foolish 2 or 3 times.
Darvish gave up his first HR last night as he fanned 9 Jays and walked 2. 4-1 Rangers take it and Darvish goes to 4-0. So far it looks like game 1 was just nerves or adrenaline.
Yu handed his first loss today. But he struck out 11 in 6 innings.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!
