Rangers Trade For Francoeur

According to Adam Rubin of ESPN.com, Jeff Francoeur confirmed to reporters that he has been traded to the Rangers.
Jon Heyman of SI.com reported earlier tonight that Joaquin Arias is expected to go to the Mets in return. The fact that Mets general manager Omar Minaya was able to get anybody back is a small victory on its own.

Not a bad backup in case Cruz goes down yet again but in no way should he ever start, even at DH. The man is hitting 237/.293/.369 with 11 home runs and 54 RBI. The Rangers will have to pay just under $900k for Jeff and they didn't give up anything to get him. Arias was DFA'd last week. Rangers keep setting their sights on October, I love it.
