Rich Harden has landed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left gluteus muscle, and right-hander Alexi Ogando has taken his place on the roster. The Rangers won't need to fill Harden's spot in the rotation until June 19 at Houston, and a decision hasn't been made on who will fill that role.
No word has been given on when Harden might have been injured. He slid to field a popped-up bunt in the second inning Friday, and he had to run the bases twice. It could be something that has bothered him for some time.
Either way, the timing of the DL stint comes the day after he surrendered four home runs in a 6-2 loss to Milwaukee. His ERA is 5.68, and he has had only one good start this season.
