There is a new update regarding the sale of the Rangers.
The group led by sports attorney Chuck Greenberg will be entering exclusive negoations with Tom Hicks to buy the club. Greenburg's group buying the team will guarantee that Nolan Ryan stays on as club president. Hicks would remain on as a minority partner with Greenberg and Ryan leading the board of directors.
It's not a done deal yet as Hicks and Greenberg are just entering exclusive negotiations. They will have 30 days to finish hammering out a deal and submit it to Major League Baseball for approval.
Personally, I am all for anything that keeps Nolan Ryan with the team.
