Blalock did well last year when he was healthy and that wasn't a lot of the time. He only played in 65 games and hit .287/.338/.508 with 12 HRs and 38 RBI. He's not breaking the bank but Mr. Glass needs to find a way to be healthy.Rangers GM Jon Daniels indicated that Hank Blalock's $6.2 million option for 2009 would likely be picked up after the World Series.
What position Blalock will play next year is still a mystery. It's possible that Blalock will be penciled in at first, with Chris Davis playing third.
