In what has become a part of the Ranger's annual routine, Hank Blalock is heading back to the DL. He apparently aggravated his hamstring while running out a double in Friday night's game against the Twins. It's a shame too, since Blalock was having a solid season batting .299 with 5 doubles and 3 homeruns.
Another flurry of activity accompanied Blalock's move to the DL.
Jason Botts, batting .158 in 15 games this year, was designated for assignment.
Oklahoma outfielder Brandon Boggs was promoted to take Botts place on the roster.
Boggs Oklahoma teammate, Chris Shelton was also called up to replace the injured Blalock.
