    Sammy Sosa 600th Homerun Watch

    After Sosa's 2-run blast off John Lackey in the bottom of the 9th inning in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Angels, Sammy moved to 596 career homeruns. With 4 more dingers Sammy will join some elite company as only the 5th player to hit 600 career homeruns. The others being Willie Mays, Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, and Hank Aaron.

    With 1 on and 1 out in the top of the 4th in yesterday's game against the Devil Rays, Sammy Sosa hit a 2-run homerun off of Casey Fossum to give Texas a 2-1 lead in the game. The Rangers would ultimately lose, but the homerun was Sosa's 597th of his career leaving him 3 short of joining the elite 600 homerun club.
