On the first day of the winter meetings, the Rangers signed starting pitcher Vicente Padilla to a 3 year deal worth $11 million dollars a year pending a physical. There is also an option for a 4th year worth $12 million.
Seems like a bit much for a pitcher who went 15-10 with a 4.50 ERA last season, but I guess that's just another indiction of what kind of market it is this year.
