The Rangers have signed relief pitcher Alfredo Simon to a minor league contract.

The 25 year old Simon spent the 2006 season in the Giants organization. He went 0-6 with a 6.75 ERA for Fresno then finished out the season in Single A San Jose going 2-4 with a 6.44 ERA.
