The Rangers are off to a better start tonight with a 4-2 lead after 4 innings. Eaton has 6 strike outs throw 4 innings and outside of Markakis, who has a double and a homer off him, he hasn't allowed much. Matthews hit a leadoff homerun in the first inning for his 15th of the year, and Lee and Kinsler have each pitched in with a double each.

Teixeira just took Bruce Chen deep for a 2-run shot, his 24th homerun of the year, to give the Rangers a 7-2 lead. Teixeira now has 6 homeruns in 11 career AB's against Chen.

After taking the 7-2 lead in the 6th off a Mark Teixeira homerun, the Rangers carried that same lead into the 9th where things started getting a little dicey. Joaquin Benoit had pitched 3 scoreless innings but ran into some big trouble in the 9th giving up 3 Oriole runs to make it a 7-5 game. Otsuka came on to get the final out of the game, which he did, for his 29th save of the season, and the Rangers won for the 3rd time in their last 4 games.

The Rangers finished with the first series win since taking 3 out of 4 from the Tigers in Detroit from the 17th-20th.
