Not to nit pick, but I thought ESPN said he had 93 RBI's... See, I told you he was in the same mold of player as Jeter...

    Brewersfan19 is correct. It's 93 RBI.

    From tonight's box score:
    RBI - G Matthews Jr 3 (74), C Lee 2 (24), M Young 3 (93), M DeRosa (70), M Stairs 2 (43).

Michael Young reached 200 hits for the year by going 3-for-4 with a walk and four runs scored Saturday versus the Angels.

Young has 200 hits in four straight seasons. Since 1940, only three other players have had at least four straight seasons of 200 or more hits: Wade Boggs (seven), Ichiro Suzuki (six) and Kirby Puckett (four).

Great game for Young. He is now 22 hits shy of setting a new career high with 222 hits. There are only 13 games left, but considering how he can bunch the hits together, there is a slim chance he could make it.

Also only 6 RBI shy of his first 100 RBI season, and 3 doubles short of setting a new Ranger's team record for doubles in a season. He has 48 right now.

Young added 3 more hits and his 95th RBI of the year in today's win over the Angels. I'll be tracking his progress towards his career high hit total in this thread now.

    Hit Count: 203
    RBI Count: 95
    2B Count: 48

    Goals: 19 Hits, 5 RBI, 3 Doubles

With 12 games left to get 19 hits, he very well may set a new career high this year. Especially if he keeps having back-to-back 3 hit games.

    Hit Count: 205
    RBI Count: 95
    2B Count: 49

    Goals: 17 Hits, 5 RBI, 2 Doubles

Nice.... I hope he reaches at least 100 RBI's this year.... With their offense and his timely hitting, I feel that is attainable

That is most definately possible. He only needs 5 more RBI and has something like 10 games left to get them.

Anyway, in a 9-7 loss to the Mariners, Young went 0 for 4 with no RBI. All of his stats being watched remain the same.

    Hit Count: 205
    RBI Count: 95
    2B Count: 49

    Goals: 17 Hits, 5 RBI, 2 Doubles

If he can hit that plateau, he would put himself on the map even more... I still think he deserves more recognition and maybe even more MVP consideration. If he played in the famous city on the east coast, like you know who at SS, he would be considered just like that SS is.
