Millwood: He has not pitched too well in his last 3 starts going 0-2 with a 4.74 ERA but is still a very solid 7-1 with a 3.13 ERA on the road. He is 3-0 with a 3.09 ERA in 5 career starts against the A's. His last start against Oakland was not good however allowing 7 runs on 9 hits over 5 innings.
Komine: In the first start of his big league career, Komine gave up just 1 run on 4 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings in a no decision against the Blue Jays.
Game 3 Matchup Notes
Padilla: Vicente has a sub-4 ERA since the all-star break and is 6-3 with a 3.47 ERA over his last 11 starts. He has struggled against Oakland this year though going 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 3 starts.
Zito: In his last start, against the Mariners, Zito allowed just 1 run over 7 innings to pick up his 12th win of the year. The Rangers have roughed him up a bit this year though. In 3 starts against Texas this year Zito has allowed 13 runs on 16 hits over 20.1 innings going 1-1.
