Game 1 Matchup Notes
Millwood: Kevin has struggled over his last 6 starts going 2-4 with a 5.61 ERA but is still the ace on the road going 7-1 with a 2.96 ERA in 10 road starts for Texas this year. He is also 1-0 with a 2.03 ERA in his career against the Angels. This will be his first start against them this year though.
Weaver: Jered has done an incredible job in the Angels rotation when he is given the chance. He has gone 7-0 with a 1.51 ERA in 8 starts this year. His worst start came in his last outing against the Redsox though as he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits over 6.2 innings. This is his first career start against the Rangers.
Game 2 Matchup Notes
Padilla: He has been hit hard in his last 2 starts but is still a solid 5-3 with a 3.43 ERA over his last 10 starts. He has posted a solid 4.21 ERA on the road this season but in a May 23rd start against the Angels he gave up 4 runs on 11 hits in 5 innings of work.
Lackey: John is the Angels ace with a 10-6 record and a 2.95 ERA this season. In 2 starts against the Rangers this year he is 1-0 and has allowed 6 runs on 9 hits in 13 innings of work.
Game 3 Matchup Notes
Koronka: John was hit hard in July going 1-2 with a 5.53 ERA in 5 starts but pitched well his last 2 times out allowing 3 runs in 11 innings and picking up a win. In an April 12th start against the Angels he allowed just 2 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings for the win.
Santana: He is also having a solid season having won 11 games with an ERA in the 4.20's. He was roughed up a bit in July for a 4.87 ERA in 6 starts but allowed just 3 runs in 8 innings in a losing effort against Oakland in his last start. This is his first start of the year against the Rangers.

Saunders: He has pitched extremely well in his first 2 big league starts, allowing just 3 earned runs on 9 hits in 14 innings of work winning both starts. This will be his last before Bartolo Colon comes off the DL on the 11th.
