He just said that the Rangers offered Blalock for Lidge and then the Astros would then send Ensberg to the Padres for Linebrink.. That is what Mr. Phillip's was saying is in the works possibly.....

You know what this means?
I can put back my Ensberg avatar!
Oh nm its still in the works. Probably wont happen.
Interesting, I think he might just be talking old news. The talks have evolved into a multi player deal.

Im not the Genius that traded for Brandon McCarthy. And my name is certainly not John Gibbons...
these analyst just speculate.... sometimes I think GM's use them as ginea pigs to get things stirred up.....
Rangers can't be this dumb!
They're not. But Steve Phillips is.Originally Posted by love_that_reefer

the Rangers are willing to part with Blalock. Why didn't the Brewers try to get him in the C. Lee deal.
Anyways, we will see in the very near future. I look for even more trades in AUgust through waivers as teams get more realistic about their chances of making the playoffs..
I love the wildcard, but it has really changed the philosophy of many GM's. (example:Atlanta would be sellers more instead of buyers-Smoltz and A. Jones probably would have gotten traded).
Yeah im suprised that we are shopping Blalock around as well.

finally are buying into the fact that pitching wins, not offense....
WHO KNOWS..
GO BREWERS!!!!!!!!!
Blalock=another third baseman for the Brewers. Something they already had too many of before the Bell deal.
They would have never traded for Bell then. Koskie was just short term answer and Cirillio is not an everyday player any more. He is satisfied with being an utility player and pinch hitter.
Koskie and Hall is enough for third base. Plus I don't think they gave what they did for Koskie for a one year thing or at least I hope not.
You are probably right but us Brewer fans liek to dream a lot... especially this fan. God I am starting to sound like a Yankee fan..
