Rays Tampa's Young OF may be baseball's Best

Who can argue with Tampa's OF being, at the very least, one of the best Fantasy OF's in the Majors. Baldelli is a potential 5 tool star, Crawford has all the intangibles of a HOF OF, besides power, and Gomes has some pop in his bat. Not to mention Joey Gathright, who has some speed and could potentially be a contributor on a playoff club. Then theres Damon Hollins, whos nothing more than a journeyman but is still pretty solid. And finally, there's 5 star prospect Delmon Young, who, although he's apparently roadblocked by this excellent young Outfield, is still projected to make the big club this year. It should be fun to watch these guys produce.

Crawford has all the intangibles of a HOF OF

Sorry bud, that's complete bullspit. His career AVG is .289...not exactly HOF. His OBP is a mere .320; and while he does steal bases, he's not a great OFer, let alone HOF material. If his average is that low, he should hit for power...but he does not.

I disagree on the HOF part and on the extremely mediocre part. The guy is a solid hitter with good gap power and a little bit of homerun power. I expect he will be a perennial .300 hitter eventually and is one of the best base stealers in the game. Not to mention he has consecutive 100+ runs scored seasons under his belt, and the D-Rays are not exactly a team known for their offense.

Edit: I would also like to add that he has very low K totals for a guy who gets well of 600 AB's a year. Only big knock against him is his career high .331 OBP he has had the last 2 years.

Crawford's numbers have improved in each of his first 4 years...keep that in mind; he's only been in the majors for 4 years. I think he's going to have a huge year.

I think so too, but the fact remains, his HOF remark was...

Looking for a nice long word...

Yea, it's too early in his career to be making a statement like that.
