Last month the Rays gave permission for the Milwaukee Brewers to interview Vice President of Baseball Operations Chaim Bloom for their open General Manager position. They ended up naming David Sterns former assistant GM of the Astros to the position.
Last week he was one of three finalists for the Phillies open GM position along with Matt Klentak and Dan Kantrovitz. The Phils went with Klentak, at 35,
he becomes the youngest GM in team history. He had been the Angels assistant GM since November 2011.
So, after two rejections, it looks like Bloom will stay put, at least for now.
