In the DL/rehab department... Matt Moore's last rehab start was bumped a day due to rain, new projection is Thursday. Erasmo Ramirez is recouping from the groin strain and a probable for Tuesday, rotation pending on what happens with Moore after that.
Tim Beckham was reinstated from the DL and optioned to Durham.
John Jaso starts his rehab assignment with Charlotte today. James Loney is ahead of schedule, Rays hope for both to be back before the All-Star break.
Papa to be, Jake Odorizzi threw 51 pitches in live BP before today's game.
Rays announced changes to the organization, scouting director R.J. Harrison will become a senior adviser, with Rob Metzler promoted to director, amateur scouting. James Click is the new director of baseball operations; Matt Arnold will be director of player personnel and Bobby Heck, special assistant.

Another nice pitching effort for the first half, no one scored until the 5th, Cabrera opened with a triple, Elmore homered (into the 162 landing) putting the Rays up 2-0.
The Rays widened the lead in the 7th when Rivera homered, 3-0.
In the 8th, with Jepsen pitching, De Aza homered to get the red sox on the board.
Longoria led off the 8th with a homer for the final scoring, Rays take second game 4-1, series tied.
Miley went 6.1 giving up 2 runs on five hits, 2 walks with 8 Ks, taking the loss.
Andriese pitched six innings (a career high) of one hit ball with 5 Ks for the win
Mookie Betts' career best 13-game hitting streak ended.
The Rays tied a team-record with its 10th consecutive win against a left-handed starter.

Boston started the scoring in the second when Sandoval homered, Napoli was the next batter and he was tossed by home plate ump Tripp Gibson after being called out on strikes, then De Aza homered. Sox up 2-0.
In the fourth, Bogaerts singled, Ortiz homered, 4-0.
In the fifth, Guyer singled and advanced on a passed ball, Cabrera singled, Guyer scored, 4-1.
In the 6th, Bogaerts doubled, went to third on a wild pitch, Ortiz walked, sac fly by Sandaval scored Bogaerts, 5-1 Red Sox.
In the seventh, Jonathan Aro pitching for Boston, Guyer doubled and went to third on a groundout by Rivera. Cabrera doubled, Guyer scored, Cabrera to third on a throwing error by Bradley Jr. Tazawa relieved Aro. Sizemore singled to left, Cabrera scored, Rays cut Boston lead 5-3.
Both teams had baserunners in the 8th and 9th, there was a challenge in the 9th, De Aza was ruled safe on a steal of second, overturned on the review, there was no more scoring, Red Sox take series 2-1.
Materson went 5 innings, giving up one run on five hits, struck out six and issued no walks, for the win.
Archer went 6 innings, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits (3 homers), one walk with 10 strikeouts, for the loss.
Grady Sizemore inserted into the line up after being called up, had three hits including an RBI single in the 7th during an attempt at a comeback rally.
Deven Marrero made his Major League debut in the bottom of the second when he replaced the ejected Napoli in the order. Marrero was put at second with Brock Holt moving to Napoli's position at first base.
David Ortiz hit his 478th homer of his career, putting him in a tie with Chipper Jones for 25th on the all-time extra-base hit list with 1,055. His 78 career RBI at Tropicana Field are the most by a visiting player.
The Rays are 21-23 at Tropicana Field this season, but have a ML best 21-12 record on the road. They have dropped five of their last seven games.
Hanley Ramirez did not play the entire series and is returning to Boston for an MRI as the Sox head to Toronto.

Rays traded INF Alexi Casilla to the Tigers for cash consideration, he was playing at Durham nd just had to walk over to the other clubhouse to suit up as they were playing the Mudhens.
Jake Odorizzi will start rehab at Charlotte on Wednesday, James Loney and John Jaso also may rehab that day with Charlotte. Unless, anything strange happens, Matt Moore will be back with the Ray to start on Thursday following Colome on Wednesday.
Alex Cobb will spend some time rehabbing at a facility in Arizona for "individualized attention".
Desmond Jennings was transferred to the 60-day DL.
Well, Cleveland started off the scoring quick, in the first, Kipnis doubled, Brantley singled, Kipnis scored, 1-0.
In the 2nd, Gomes led off with a double. The score stay there, as the Anderson continued to pitch a perfect game ad Karns settled down a bit.
In the top of the fifth with two on, Rivera dropped a foul ball off Santana on the transfer, ruled no catch, Cash asked about a review, but it falls under the plays that are judgement by the umpires, Santana struck out and Karns got out of the inning.
Score still 2-0 in Tribe's favor, Anderson still a perfect game heading into the 7th, he got Kiermaier to ground out and in his second game with the Rays Grady Sizemore launched into the right field stands to get the Rays on the board, prevent a shut and break up the perfect game, 2-1. Longoria singled and went to second on a catching error, but was stranded.
Kirby Yates pitching for Tampa Bay in the 8th, Yan Gomes homered , 3-1 Indians.
Ronald Belisario pitching for Tampa Bay in the ninth, Kipnis reached on an infield single, Lindor doubled. During an intentional walk to Brantley, Belisrio threw a wild pitch, Kipnis scored. Brantley finally got walked, Raburn singled, Lindor scored. Santana walked, bases now loaded, Moss grounds into a fielder's choice, Brantley scored, Santana out at second, Raburn to third. Raburn sored on another wild pitch by Belisario, a four run inning, 7-1, Indians.
The Rays got just one runner in the ninth when Rivera singled, Kiermaier lined out to the second basemen and they threw to double up Rivera. The play was challenged but the out confirmed, Bryan Shaw closed it out.
Cody Anderson went 8 stellar innings, giving up just the one home run off Sizemore and a single by Longo, with no walks and two strike outs, for his first ML win.Anderson became the third pitcher to make his first two big league starts against Tampa Bay. Sean Henn did it with the New York Yankees in 2005 and Jimmy Gobble did it with the Kansas City Royals in 2003.
Nate Karns went six innings, giving up two runs on nine hits, 2 walks and struck out seven for the loss.
Yan Gomes had three hits, including a solo homer in the eighth.
Indians take the first game of a four game set.

Another game going several innings with perfection against the Rays. The Indians scored first on a homer in the third by Kipnis, 1-0.
In the 6th, the perfect game fell with a walk to Cabrera and the no-hitter gone on a double by Casali, but the Rays failed to score, still 1-0 Tribe.
In the 7th Geltz pitching for the Rays, Santana singled, Moss walked, Urshela homered, 4-0.
In the 8th, Yates pitching for TB, Brantley doubled, Murphy homered to right, 6-0.
In the Rays half, Forsythe led off with a walk, Cabrera doubled, Forsythe scored. Casali singled and safe at second on a throwing error by Lindor, Cabrera scored, 6-2.
The only baserunner after that was in the 9th when DeJesus was hit by a pitch, but no scoring.
Salazar went 7.2 giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits, two walks and struck out two. It was the first time he faced the Rays since losing the 2013 AL wild-card game.
Ramirez went 5.2 innings, giving up one run on 2 hits (one homer), one walk and struck out seven.
This marked the third game in the last six that an opposing pitcher retired the first 15 Rays.
Indians take second game, 6-2.

With all the potential perfect games and no hitters, I missed some roster moves from Tuesday.
The Rays designated Ronald Belisario and sent down Kirby Yates and called up Preston Guilmet and C.J. Riefenhauser.
Once again the Rays were out pitched.
Cleveland got it started gain in the second , Murphy singled, Santana walked, Moss doubled both of them to the plate, 2-0 Tribe.
In the third, three straight singles from Kipnis, Aviles and Brantley, Kipnis scored, Murhy hit a sacrifice fly to score Aviles, 4-0.
In the 4th, Urshela singled, Bourn singled, Wrshela went to third when Perez flied out. Kipnis hit into a fielder's choice, Urshela scored, 5-0.
Carrasco lost the perfect game when Butler walked in the 7th. The defensive play of the game dame when Longoria hit a sharp grounder that Santana dove for it, got up stepped on first and then threw to Aviles catching Butler in a rundown for the out to end the inning.
In the 8th, Riefenhauser now pitching for the Rays, Raburn pinch hitting for Murphy took a walk, Santana doubled, Moss homered , 8-0.
Bottom of the ninth, Carrasco still pitching for the Indians, he let up another walk to Cabrera, Guyer (ph for Krauss) was hit by a pitch , Sizemore (ph for Casali) gorunded into a fielder's choice, Guyer out at second, Cabrera to third. Kiermaier went down swinging, one strike away from a no-hitter, Butler knocks one in to right, no hit gone, Cabrera scored, shut out gone.
Indians take game three, 8-1.
Carrasco went 8.3 superb innings, gave up the one run on one hit, two walks with 13 Ks with a career high 124 pitches.
Colome went seven innings, giving up five runs on eight hits, one walk and struck out three.
Brandon Moss with 5 RBI's, three with a homer in the 8th.
It has been 34 years since a Cleveland pitcher threw a no-hitter, last was Len Barker, who had a perfect game against Toronto on May 15, 1981. It ws the third straight game that the Indians took a perfect game into the at least the sixth inning.
Marc Krauss was optioned after the game.

Matt Moore started out pretty well, he kept the Indians hit less until the fourth.
In the first Butler and Longoria singled, then Sizemore singled to score Butler. Longoria and Sizemore attempted a double steal, Longoria scored on the throwing error by Gomes, Rays up 2-0.
In the fourth, Kipnis led off with a single, Lindor singled. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Brantley hit a sac fly, Kipnis scored, 2-1.
Kluber settled down and kept the Rays off the bases.
In the fifth, Moore got two quick outs, then Urshela singled, went to second on a wild pitch, Aviles walked, Kipnis singled, Urshela scored, game tied 2-2. Lindor singled, Aviles scored, Brantley singled, Kipnis scored, 4-2. Geltz relieves Moore with bases loaded and got out of the inning.
Finally, in the sixth, Kiermaier doubled, when to third on a fly out by Butler, Sizemore singled, KK scored, Forsythe singled, Cabrera reached on a single, Sizemore scored, 4-4 tie. Game was still tied at the end of nine.
In the 10th, Cedeno pitching for the Rays, Aviles led off with a homer. Cody Allen closed it out for the Tribe retiring the Rays in order. Game 5-4 to the Indians, a four game sweep.
Kluber went 8 innings, giving up 4 runs (one unearned) on seven hits, one walk with 14 Ks for a no-decision, Shaw took the win.
Moore went just 4.2 giving up four runs on six hits, two walks with four Ks, also a no-decision, Cedeno took the loss.
Cleveland got phenomenal pitching, stellar defense and strong bats. The last time they took a four game sweep was against Minnesota for the last series of the 2013 season and secured a wild-card berth.
The Rays set a franchise record by being struck out 19 times in a single game.
In other Rays news...
The Rays acquired minor leaguer pitcher Garrett Fulenchek from the Atlanta Braves for two international bonus pool slots. They received the Rays' 73rd and 103rd slots, valued at a total of $494,200. The deal gives Atlanta more to spend on international players before facing penalties. He will be sent to the Princeton Rays.
The Rays are hoping to have Loney return to action on Friday.

Rays signed two 16-year-old Venezuelan shortstops, Luis Leon (for $125,000) and Jhosmer Vargas ($100,000).
LHP Andy Oliver opted out of his contract with the Rays and was granted his release, he had a 3.86 ERA with 32 Ks in 28 IP, with 24 walks.
James Loney has been activated from the disabled list.
Yankees placed Carlos Beltran on the 15 day DL.

Chris Archer (9-5, 2.31 ERA) allowed a career-high three home runs in his last start against the Red Sox. He is 5-0 with a 2.02 in seven career starts against the Yankees. In six road starts he is 6-0 with a .90 ERA, the lowest road ERA in the Majors.
Masahiro Tanaka allowed a career-high three homers in both of his last starts, in four starts at Yankee Stadium he is 2-2 with a 5.57 ERA. Against the Rays he is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two starts against Tampa Bay.
The Yankees were off yesterday, Brett Gardner is looking to extend his nine game hitting streak. He is 7-for-18 in his career against Archer, with two doubles and two triples.

The Rays started out aggressive, Sizemore led off with a double in the first, Butler walked, Longoria doubled, Sizemore scored. Loney hit a sac fly, Butler scored, Rays up 2-0.
In the 5th, Kiermaier led off with a triple, Rivera hit a sac fly scoring KK, 3-0.
Both starters were gone by the 8th, still 3-0 Rays. Jepsen pitching for Tampa Bay to start the inning, Headly and Rodriguez singled, Teixeira homered to tie the game 3-3.
Game goes into extra innings, in the top of the 12th, Forsythe led off with a walk Guyer sacrificed, Forsythe to second, Shreve now pitching for Yanks, Cabrera walked, KK singled, Forsythe scored, Cabrera to third on the throw. Rivera singled Cabrera scored, 5-3.
Bottom 12th, Geltz pitching for Rays, Gardner led off with a walk, ARod singled, Gardner to third, Petit pinch running for ARod, Teixeira singled, Gardner scored, 5-4, McCann hits a walk off homer to right, Yankees win 7-5. Take the first game of the series handing TB their 6th loss in a row and take sole possession of first place in the AL East.
Chris Archer went 6.2 scoreless innings, giving up three hits and three walks with 8 Ks. Steven Geltz took the loss.
Masahiro Tanaka went six innings giving up three runs on six hits, one walk and struck out 5. Chasen Shreve got the win.
In other Rays news, Jake Odorizzi is to make one more rehab start before returning to the staff.
