According to the New York Post, the Mets still might get Danys Baez from the Devil Rays for Yusmeiro Petit and Aaron Heilman.
Petit alone should be enough to bring in a pitcher of Baez's talent. If acquired by the Mets, Baez would likely be used as a setup man initially. Joe Borowski would take over as Tampa Bay's closer. The Mets remains interested in Julio Lugo in addition to Baez, but since the Rays apparently don't value outfielder Lastings Milledge as highly as most, it would be tough for GM Omar Minaya to complete a deal for both
Petit and Heilman for Baez, cripes, what a deal that would be for Tampa...
