Jason Bourgeois was DFA’d, accepted and was outrighted to Durham.
Early reports had Hellickson going to Charlotte, he’s actually being sent to Durham. The correspoinding move was bringing up Jeff Beliveau though he was optioned to Montgomery to bring up Jeff Ordizzi from Durham. Ordizzi is starting today, pushing Price to start in Oakland tomorrow and Cobb on Sat. (looking worse and worse for Bausnandez)
Luke Scott was sent to Durham for rehab assignment as well as Matt Moore, who according to Joe, is still set to join the team in Anaheim.
Jesse Crain has not been making much progress but he will join the team on the road trip so he can continue working with trainer Ron Porterfield, hopes to be throwing off the mound by the end of next week trying to get him up to help with the end run.
Delmon Young is expected to join the team on Sunday.
C Chris Gimenez and P Josh Lueke were recalled from Durham and Luke Scott was activated. Young was recalled from Montgomery on Sunday and did nothing, because of course we suck, especially on the West Coast.

While the Rays at the moment are in a good spot for a wildcard birth and take on the Red Sox this week at Tropicana Field in a very important series, two of the minor league affiliates are in the play-offs in their respective leagues.
The Charlotte Stone Crabs surged late in game three on Sunday against the Daytona Cubs forcing a game 4 tonight at Charlotte in the FSL Championship series.The Durham Bulls swept the Indianapolis Indians to advance to the Governor’s Cup finals against the Pawtucket Red Sox which starts Tuesday night in Durham.
****The Crabs lost, Cubs won decidedly 4-0 to taking their 5th FSL title. The Crabs have made three appearances losing all three.

The Rays managed to salvage one game in the short home stand against the Red Sox thanks to Will Myers (again!), but mascot Raymond was assaulted by an intoxicated Red Sox fan who was arrested was charged only with disorderly intoxication in a public place when Raymond declined to press charges for battery. The Rays are still clinging to to a wild card spot heading into weekend games.
The Durham Bulls lost the first game to Pawtucket on Tuesday 2-1, then on Wed. they rallied scoring a run in the 6th and 7th to tie the series with a 2-1 win. Game 3 is tonight in Pawtucket.
Game 3 between the Bulls and PSawx was a marathon, Bulls finally scored 2 runs in the 14th inning to win and then shut Pawtucket out 7-0 in game 4 to win their 4th Governor's Cup!
Meanwhile the Rays won Saturday over the Twins 7-0 to keep the WC hope alive.
The Durham Bulls lost the one game Triple A Championship to the Omaha Storm Chasers on Tuesday night. Freddy Guzman and Tim Beckham were called up to the Rays.
Rays walked off last night on a single from Jennings in the 12th to stay on top of the WC. Guzman got into the game as a pinch runner in the 11th, stole second and then scored on a single off David DeJesus to retie the game.
I vote that WIll Myers gets no more days off, he is young he can take there will be plenty of rest after the season.
The Rays sent pitcher Matt Spann to the Nationals to complete the David DeJesus deal.
Rays called up Jake Odorizzi from Durham.
After 6 seasons in the minors for the Rays Tim Beckham made his debut on Thursday night as a pinch hitter singling in his first major league at bat. He stayed in the game at SS. He also pinch hit in place of Sam Fuld in the 18 inning marathon last night during the 14th and stayed in the game at SS, but grounded out all three of his at bats.
David DeJesus once again the hero with the game winning single to score Jennings, keeping the Rays at the top of the WC spot.
