Got a little worried when Archer got pulled in the second with "forearm tightness" and Myers was pinch hit for in the 7th. According to the Rays site, Archer's tests were negative and he should be ready to make his next start. Myers asthma was acting up and he should be fine for Friday night in LA.

Has the secret weapon behind the Rays successful run been divine intervention? I have been under the delusion it was part Joe, part Longo, part smart baseball moves by the front office with some luck and magic sprinkled around. Now I have come to find out recently that the Rays have a little help from some nuns that reside in Pasco County. I didn't see the original article written for the Pasco Edition of the Tampa Tribune, but I did a little search when I saw the piece yesterday about how area fans and the team are now going to give back to the nuns for their support.

Some local Rays fans donate TV, tickets and the team wants to make them VIP guests.

Now, I am not an overly religious person but I feel good knowing the sisters are putting in a good word for the Rays with the "man upstairs".

Second time this week the pen completely pissed away what should have been a sound lead.

Before the game the Rays DFA’d Kyle Farnsworth to make room for Josh Lueke.

Nice to see Carl and JP again. According to an interview with Tampa Bay Times beat writer Mark Topkin they like the Dodgers organization especially Carl. He says there is a relaxed atmosphere similar to the Rays which is good he was pretty darn miserable in Boston.

the only excitement on the Rays side today was the hidden ball trick on Uribe in the 4th, we suck on the west coast.

Alex Cobb made his third rehab start yesterday for the Stone Crabs and is expected to join the team against Seattle on Thursday. Yahoo!!

Claimed Wesley Wright off waivers from the Houston Astros, expected to join the team tomorrow night against Seattle.

Optioned Lueke back to Durham. I am guessing to make room for Wesley Wright.

So when Cobb and Moore come back, Faustberto Carmonandez going to get the boot?

Last week it was speculated that Robausto Hermona might go to the BP, but that was before they acquired Wright. I can't see them demoting Archer now, so that's a darn good question.

Doh! I said last night ...well, maybe he needs a little more seasoning. Seems every time I brag on them they tank......I was so proud of the series winning streak and they go lose 7 in a row as soon as I start gloating in a post.
