Niemann out with fractured leg

Rays manager Joe Maddon said that Jeff Niemann (fractured fibula) will likely miss a few months.
Niemann was diagnosed with a "small fracture" in his right fibula when he was hit in the lower leg by a comebacker during Monday's game. He's going to miss an extended period of time, but the Rays expect him back at some point later this year. It's not clear who will fill his spot in the rotation, but Alex Cobb and Wade Davis are two logical alternatives.

Niemann was having a good year with a 3.38 ERA but if any team can handle an injury to their rotation, it's the Rays.
