The Rays have finally gotten a little bit of offense going the last two games, this round of the battle for third place was won by the Rays.
Shields got a months worth of run support on Wednesday night and both teams fought long and hard for the game tonight..
Davis started out a bit rough but settled in to keep it close, it went back and forth through 12 innings, the baby catcher played a big role, seems to be settling in a bit now.

The Jays placed Carlos Villanueva on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain. They also optioned OF Travis Snider to Las Vegas and selected the contract of 3B Brett Lawrie and recalled P Luis Perez.
