This will be the first time the Rays have made an appearance at Miller Park. Some of the articles I have been reading state this is the first time these two have met, it isn’t, the Brewers played here in 2005. In fact, Prince Fielder made his ML debut against the Rays, got his first hit and his first RBI at the Trop when he served as the DH after being called up for a series on June 13th-15th. He was sent back down to the minors after IL play.

The Rays are coming off a sweep of the Marlin., Brewers now back home after a 2-5 road trip., but have a league leading home record of 25-9. Rays are 21-15 on the road.

Niemann is fresh off the DL. When asked last night in a post game interview about Niemann having to bat Maddon said….”It’s one of those things where you’re sleeping at night and you wake up either sweating or screaming out loud.”

Narveson has won his last 2 decisions is 4-4 with a 4.48 ERA.
