    That is a terrible waste of a 96-win season to lose in the LDS. I mean, I'll take 96 wins in any year, win or lose in the end, but the expectation is to win the pennant.

    Wouldn't call it a waste. They battled til the end. What kind of no shit comment is "the expectation is to win the pennant"? It does seem to me the Yankees tanked towards the end of the season so they would get the Twins.

    Um.....one team has to take the loss so the other can advance, if it is all just a waste why bother to play past 162 at all? Not sure I get that reasoning.
