Rays Get Injury Bug

The Rays said after Tuesday's game that Matt Garza will go on the disabled list with radial nerve irritation.

Cliff Floyd will go on the disabled list and have surgery Friday to repair a tear in the medial meniscus in his right knee.
Floyd had surgery to repair torn cartilage in the medial meniscus of his other knee on April 6, 1999 and came back on April 27. However, he's eight years older now and a slower healer than ever. He'll likely miss at least a month. Justin Ruggiano will replace him on Tampa Bay's roster and get some at-bats in right field.

Garza is going to hurt a little but is good that its early in the season. Just hope its not for a long period of time. The part in bold is what I was happy to see. Ruggiano should have been on the roster anyway since the Rays are hard up on OFers. Ruggiano has good on base skills and some pop in his bat.
