Thread: Josh Hamilton comes back from the dead

Rays Josh Hamilton comes back from the dead

Josh Hamilton, who has been suspended since spring 2003 for repeated violations of the drug policy, will be allowed to participate in the Rays' extended spring training program for the next 10 or so days.
It's a temporary reinstatement. At the end of Hamilton's stint in extended spring training, officials are expected to decide if he will be allowed to continue playing. If so, he would likely join a club in the low minors.

Man, what a bust Hamilton has been so far. If the Rays can get anything out of him, it's a definite plus

I thought this guy died! If he could come back he might be of help to the
Devil Rays, but if his track record holds I do not think so! JMO

And he's still waiting for a response about getting released from his two-year suspension

Josh Hamilton is still waiting to hear from MLB regarding whether or not he will be reinstated from his two-year suspension.
"I think they should let him know what's going on one way or another," Rocco Baldelli said. "It's tough when you let someone hang a little bit and wait for something that might not be coming. I'm not one to judge what'sgoing on in the situation, but either let the guy play or tell him no."

Elijah Dukes, BJ Upton, Delmon Young, Josh Hamilton.

    Anyone notice a pattern here?

Come on - YOU of all people are going to lump BJ Upton in with Dukes, Young, and Hamilton? All Upton does is enjoy a bt of the drinky drink and go drive. You've done it too.

I didn't even mention Toe Nash. Elijah Dukes is out of baseball, Hamilton will more than likely be the next Jeff Allison, Delmon Young looks like Billy Beane as a player, and Upton is regressing rapidly. The Devil Rays' minor league system is completely broken. If guys with such great talent are failing constantly and consistently, the problem is not only with the players in the system but the management and coaches that are never able to fix them.

Dukes got an indefinite suspension handed down to him like 4 days ago for "disciplinary purposes."

Ahh, if he is indeed done then I look forward to watching him play for some NCAA team at LB, he was a stud coming out of HS.
