My needs are in my early trade block topic, and I'm willing to let Rent get to his lead within reason.
And I agree with mission, stats do have some legitimacy, but depending on a one-star guy to do anything great is a scary promise. I depend on a one-star catcher, but I don't expect much out of him.
(Note: Mission, I know it's not likely possible, but if you think Rent will retire, then throw him on my team temporarily (at least til free agency) in hopes that he stays, then force me to release him. You don't have to of course).

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
I look at him more as a bench guy if he even remains on my MLB squad.Originally Posted by missionhockey21
I need to see what Money permits. I don't even know if I can rely on William Walk to give me anything close to what he gave me this past season... but I can't go overboard. The Willard trade should give me some flexibility, as I filled other positions at a cheaper cost. Hendren produced well enough for me.

Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Hey, I got decent production out of one star guys, so I won't knock em! I want to make some improvements though. Just not by going overboard. Third base would be a nice position to fill with a semi-young power guy

This will be the third year I cannot break the 70 win plateau. Most of my players are breaking down so that's why I didn't resign a good group of guys especially Adam Wainwright and Nick Markakis. Wainwright has been injury prone for the last 3 years and Markakis has the average that makes baby Jesus cry.
I've got guys in the minors that I'm almost tempting to bring up next year, but its just too early. If I bring them right away, then their star rankings will go down and I will go down with them.
Next year and perhaps several more years will be a rebuilding stage and I really wouldn't be surprised if 2006's record of 58 wins and 104 losses be broken.
Here goes another offseason where, nothing in Arizona will happen.
Trade Offers will be bare cause NO ONE has wanted Ennis for 3 seasons.
FA will be overpay city.
Yay i love this a lot.
Batting AVG: .253 (21st)
Homeruns: 151 (20th)
Walks: 475 (22nd)

I couldnt ask anything more out of my pitching this season. Ill still need RP help but i doubt ill have the bargain bin RPs like i had last season in this FA Class. CA is a black hole with Glass. and LF could be open cause Xiques decided to suck and Kelly is too inconsistent for me. Maybe ill fix these problems in the offseason but the 76-79 win seasons are starting to take a damn frustrating toll.

Texas had a lot to be proud of. I just need to, somehow, get my pitching staff younger.

Eh, I was thinking of dealing some prospects to bring a couple of big players to Cincy, but my next step is .500... I'm not going to mortgage my future to contend for a year. I'll fill my gaps via free agency and my farm system.
