After slumping to another high 60 win season, the improving DBacks look to finally get into 3rd place in the ever weak NL West.

On offense, this bunch improved as the season went on. Can they sustain it for a full season. They will need too.

3B Jason Bartlett-- One of the best gap hitters in the game can bring some speed too (37 SBs, 49 doubles, 12 triples).
SS Kyle Chausse-- Was great in his cup of coffee, must emerge as the 2 hitter in this lineup
RF Eric Sultmeier-- Last seasons NL ROY, looks to be the focal point of the offense (.888 OPS in 398 ABs)
2B Alfonso Soriano-- Makes a lot of money, but if he repeats 2011 production (104 RBIs). He wont be dealt.
CA John Buck-- Has to prove that he can play catcher and hit, and shut some critics up.
CF Lastings Milledge-- Looks for a 30-30 season this year, He is the Franchise Player after monster 2011 (.276, 24 HR, 89 RBIs, 38 SBs).
LF Chris Kelly-- To think he was in A ball 2 years ago. Solid Player that just gets the job done.
1B Jose Lopez-- The smallest 1B in the league looks to repeat monster 2nd half for a full season.

The Bench will be much improved now that they know what their roles will be
Yorvilt Torrealba- Better served as a defensive replacement for Buck. nothing more, nothing less.
Scott Posednik- Good Patience, horrible stealing ablity for his speed (7 for 22), but good god he cant hit a baseball (.231).
Luis Rivas- #1 speedster off the bench, great 2B replacement on defense for the challenged Soriano.
Nick Johnson- Will get occaisonal spot starts at 1B vs R, is the DH in interleague games.
Victor Hall- Defense and Speed. thats it.

The Pitching is still without a closer and it could hurt them down the stretch for they were GOD AWFUL in 1-Run Games. The Rotation could be average at best if they all preform like last season.

Starting Rotation
RH Jason Young- All the talent in the world, needs to translate it to the field.
RH Rich Harden- Overacheived in 2011, anywhere near that will be very helpful (11-12, 3.67 ERA, 1.18 WHIP).
RH Ben Sheets- Playing for a contract in 2012, rebounded well from subpar, injury riddled 2010.
RH Kerry Wood- On the downside of his career. Just be decent is all they ask of him
RH John Lackey- Inconsistency killed him last season, just holding the spot warm for the farm.

Bullpen
LH Macay McBride- Only lefty in the Pen.
RH Yoel Hernandez- Will probably never live up to being decent.
RH Robert Amis- How long before hes the closer?
RH Shawn Chacon- Hoping for Yankee version of him in the pen
RH Trey Hodges- Statistically the best reliever last season.
RH Jason Anderson- He was supposed the center piece to the Sultmeier deal... just kiddin.
RH Brad Lidge- Fell apart as the closer, last season, wins it by default.
