    Batting AVG: .296 (3rd)
    Homeruns: 48 (2nd)
    Walks: 115 (6th)
    Stolen Bases: 50 (4th)
    Runs Scored: 192 (3rd)

    Pitching ERA: 4.19 (4th)
    Opponents AVG: .260 (12th)
    HRs Allowed: 30 (15th)
    Walks Allowed: 95 (13th)
    Runs Allowed: 117 (4th)

9 - 4 sim. I just can't take these guys seriously yet. They've got to be playing over their heads. Johansen undefeated at 4 - 0. Uppercut and Shuford are both 5 - 1.

    Monday 4/28/2031 :
Enrique Olivo was named Player of the Week!
He batted .450 in 20 AB, with 5 HR and 7 RBI.

    Thursday 5/1/2031 :
Enrique Olivo was named NL-Batter of the Month!
He batted .427 in 96 AB, with 13 homers and 36 RBI.

What a month for Olivo. I hope he'll be reasonable in negotiations. And damn, Furst is almost filled out and I have nowhere to put him.

Ouch, my AAA surprise stud SP Emilio Riva (53IP, 44H, 75K) blows out his elbow and his career is over. Must have been taking some cheap mexican horse steroids.

Pleasantly surprised by my Padres, 23-18 record and only 1 game back. All my hitters are producing as hope, and pitchers are keeping the games winnable.

    Batting AVG: .250 (27th)
    Homeruns: 40 (T-25th)
    Walks: 133 (21st)
    Stolen Bases: 38 (T-18th)
    Runs Scored: 178 (28th)

    Pitching ERA: 4.36 (9th)
    Opponents AVG: .259 (13th)
    HRs Allowed: 37 (7th)
    Walks Allowed: 91 (2nd)
    Runs Allowed: 197 (12th)

The revamped offense is struggling worse than expected, but the pitching is better than originally thought. Being 11-1 in one run games is helping quite a bit.

Being 11-1 in one run games is just lucky, the odds will catch up to you and you'll be eating Padre dust!

It should catch up. And I fully expect it to. I traded my 40-40 3B to Pittsburgh and trying to rebuild gradually. Im right around where I expected but not in the fashion like this lol.

Well that was fun. Lasted one sim near the top of the standings.

Now it's time to manipulate the team for all it's worth. Or tank like the best of them.

    Batting AVG: .289 (4th)
    Homeruns: 71 (2nd)
    Walks: 183 (3rd)
    Stolen Bases: 52 (11th)
    Runs Scored: 280 (1st)

    Pitching ERA: 5.39 (25th)

    HRs Allowed: 53 (19th)
    Walks Allowed: 95 (3rd)
    Runs Allowed: 239 (26th)

Near the top in offense.. near the bottom in pitching... still right on line with my predictions...

May go back to a 4 man rotation... but I only have 3 worthwhile starters... decisions, decisions

I would love to find a way to have Mooreman in there every day, but no real way to do it.... the prototypical DH just ain't gonna get time in a no DH league... but on pace for over 40 HR and only starting against lefties... no bad

Still would love to trade 1 or more of my trade block pieces, to juggle the team up a little

    9 - 6 sim for the Cubbies. 28 - 13 overall and in 1st place.

    3 - 0 vs. SD
    3 - 0 vs. ARI

Its really on this side of the border. In other leagues, its more on the minus side. I gave up trying to think about it. Mission, the 20 dollars is in the mail.

Whoa! I just noticed Toronto's roster. I've seen Little League teams with more players on them.

That's quite clever of OOTP to substitute in pitchers for their position players. That's a change from the old Madden games in which the third string QB must have been programmed not to get injured, if both the #1 and #2 QB's are taken out of the game.
