Bring on the offseason!
Bring on the offseason!
Suppose I'll post this here.
My plan for 2030 (not 2029, next season) is for S3SL to enter a new era of baseball. With more reliance on things like hit and runs or bunts, less use of relievers, etc. The old school era in the future. That is the extremely simple version of it as it entails a lot more than that, but it would certainly require teams who want to win to tweak some.
I figure at 2030, we've played long enough for baseball to change.

I like it.
Cause I don't have to change much. ;]
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

How would that be accomplished?
Edit stat modifiers and there's options to what era of baseball you want things to kinda mirror.
I think. OOTP 9 has the latter fo sho, I can never remember 6.5 stuff. I've seen leagues laid out like mission mentioned before. 30 homeruns can lead the league, pitchers log 300 innings, etc.

Intriguing, to be sure.
Now I would have to get some SPs.
Also you have to love this BS.

Ultimately, mission's goal for this is to prevent The Mustache from passing Azevedo on the homerun leader board. The jinx is up.

Anything that requires me to need less players should help my team. My activity will certainly increase this year as it has lacked in the past couple.
I am only losing 1 regular player.... everything in Baltimore will hinge on whether I have FA money and what I will be able to land in my obvious need areas... I had my first profit in years, and fan interest is back up, so HOPEFULLY I have some money to spend on 1 or 2 pieces
I was lucky to retain the power beast Mooreman and the closer who blew the playoffs in Guttierez... no matter how Guttierez blew the ALCS, he is essential on a team without the greatest starters... I need to protect the leads that this offense can supply...

My roster is getting shattered. Some fun.
I am really not going to change the era from power to not. I haven't determined it all, but generally the main thing we are talking about are pitchers going deeper with 4 man rotos, less bullpen dependence, more small ball play, and a greater weight for good defense.
This season, 2029, I've changed some of the era settings over slightly and we'll see how it plays out before I'd change them to their final spots for the new era in 2030.
