We could do rounds about various players from the history of the league but I thought we could try it a different way.

Youre starting an expansion team and every player is 26 and coming into their "prime years". You have the #1 pick and can take anyone... what criteria do you go after?

The Stud Ace whos 10's across the board to anchor your rotation.
The guy with absolutely unlimited power.
The guy whos going to hit .330, 30-45HRs, 130+RBIs
The top of the order speedster who has some pop.
Whatever.

Just thought Id see if we cant strike up some offseason interest while we wait. If theres a guy in the league feel free to name names. I figure everyone can guess who Id take.

And yes I would take the most complete player available that puts the best combination of power, speed, defense, and ops possible. After years of seeing what it means in the middle of my lineup and where my offense is now.

I was just thinking, can we call Wayne Hage the s3sl version of Roger Clemens? Big stats, great ratings, probably was apart of a championship team, but rarely came up big in critical games? He had his moments with hafdawg, and then me, but for the most part.. look at his playoff numbers. 7 plus ERA 4 times, 61 ER, only 8-6
