Nathan Poovey retires ...
He will be in the Hall Of Fame!

Heriberto Lamas retires ...
He will be in the Hall Of Fame!

It was a long time, and he didn't contribute much, but Poovey got his second ring before hanging them up. Outside of Beckett, he is the only life-time Marlin (in his MLB career) to make it. Lamas was 10-10-7 at the start of the season and absolutely destroyed ratings wise by the season ending injury.

They will be missed.

You know what I want to do this season? I'm thinking about it. Really am. I want to chase down the worst record in s3sl history.

But then I saw the free agents and.. I have a bunch of money and there's a bunch of good players.

So many choices.

After the glitch in the season before... I have not been able to turn around revenue... field a competitive team, have some good stars and upcoming players, and they don't come.... and now the loyalty drops too.... I got the $5MIL, but yet again do not have a dime to spend in the off season

The Nats have a little money to spend, but considering the state of my team right now (mainly the pitching staff), I would have to break the bank to get anything respectable. And with Mike Dehner's injury suffered last year, he will be pretty much worthless, and he had just started putting up consistantly the kind of numbers I always expected from him. Maybe two or three more picks like Mr. Lopez and Washington will be right back in it.

I had to give 6 years though, which isn't bad

but Bryon Countryman only took 7 million for 3 years when I was offering him 9 million for 4 years when he was still apart of my team which he said "Your offers make me sick, I will test the market now."

Now here's the fatal flaw with that comment...I don't have any platoons, minimal back-ups, and as of right now a 4-man bullpen...so wouldn't I need a lot more players for them all to only play 2 innings/1 AB per game? Ladies and gentlemen...it doesn't make sense. Much like being a Giants fan for the last 10 years and the next, oh, lets say 15...
